She's in Hanoi for two weeks. I dropped her off at the airport on Friday and we've talked on the phone a few times since then. She's tired but has fresh flowers in her room. :-) I've been busy playing music. Played in Julian on Saturday night, Sunday afternoon in North Park and tonight downtown San Diego. Friday, I open a show with Carolyn Hester at San Diego State University.

This is a photo from space. You can read more about this image at NASA's site. So far, evacuations are happening across a lot of San Diego county, but not where we live in the city. It is a devastating fire, with several fires burning under the worst conditions we've ever seen since living in San Diego. Santa Ana winds are sucking the moisture out of the air and blowing up to 50 mph in some parts of the county.
