Duncan lives...

So far, he's spent a night in the garage, and a night on the front porch...he can't wait for Mom to come home...

Hi Mom

Where are you?

Grrr.

zzzzzzzzz...

Happy Birthday Tiffany!!!!

What can I say that this photo doesn't say better? Taken from her little celebration last night in Accra, Ghana.

Tiffany left New York today

She survived a small bird attack at JFK and boarded safely as we hung up the cell phones for a while. She lands in Accra, Ghana in the morning - where she'll stay for a few days on the Gulf coast of West Africa before heading north to Kumasi.

Downtown Kumasi

Studio is finished :-)

It took close to 7 months from start to finish, and I still have one piece of trim to find...it's somewhere in the garage. African chestnut hardwood floors in both rooms.

The Sound Room. Two walls are covered with pine boards in front of soundboard and we did a sand treatment on two of the "red walls". Stained pine trim and a new 10-lite door. New sliding glass window and skylight. It's a great space for recording and rehearsing.

The Control Room. The larger of the two rooms, this is where the Macs are, the record player, some chairs and usually a cat named Jake. New sections of drywall, new fixtures, new windows and a 10-lite door.

What's next? Time to use it. I'm currently teaching students old time mandolin and guitar (and they are teaching me how to teach). Some recording projects on the table, and my solo record. Next remodeling project? The garage. Ugh. :-) Beats my old job, though.
