Today is my mother's birthday. Her name is Margaret (Josephine) Merrydew Clarke, if you didn't know. And she hates the name Josephine...yes I get some satisfaction from telling everyone. I decided to call her earlier this morning and sing her a few lines of Happy Birthday. It's what you do when your Mom turns 74. That's right. They'll be out visiting us in San Diego in a few weeks...I bet she's already started packing. I know she's lining up a ride to the airport this week.

I had to drill out the door holes, and carve out the spaces for the hardware. This is a 10-pane solid douglas fir door.

Well, let's see....Tiff and I just returned from the Fall Strawberry Music Festival up in the Sierras, and there are a bunch of stories to tell there....Man Cave. Before that, we spent some time with our niece, Reese, and her folks from Virginia, Brandon and Lisa. We had a great time seeing all of them and partying down at the Corvette Diner. And...before that, we spent a week at the Augusta Old Time music week in Elkins, WV....no sleep and a ton of music later. I'd write more, but I am slammed right now....can't wait to share the fruits of this labor....later.
